My name is Jane Burnett. I live in Hamilton, a small city in the Waikato region of New Zealand’s North Island. Now that we are almost retired, we are planning some travel, with a long North American and European trip planned for 2025, which I intend to document here.

I work part-time for a breast cancer research unit and volunteer at an op shop that raises funds for that research. I sort and display all the books that are donated to the shop by our generous supporters. This coincides with my literary interests – I am an avid reader, I write blog posts and dabble in other forms of writing like memoir and short stories, and I copy edit and proof read other people’s work. I have worked on books, journal articles and academic theses.
