My name is Jane Burnett. I live in Ohaupo, a small rual settlement in the Waikato region of New Zealand’s North Island. We recently returned here after four years in Ipoh, Malaysia.
While in Malaysia, we explored that fascinating country and visited some of the surrounding countries to extend our limited knowledge about Asia. We travelled to India, Thailand and Vietnam, as well as taking a couple of trips to Borneo. We also made frequent trips home to see our daughters, our family and our friends and enjoy the clear New Zealand sky, surf the waves at Raglan and take long walks without melting.
Apart from travel, my interests are almost exclusively literary – I am an avid reader, I write blog posts and dabble in other forms of writing like memoir and short stories, some of which appear on this site, and I copy edit and proof read other people’s work. I have worked on books, journal articles and academic theses.

Hi there. Jane I just want to know if you are Jane who was married to Jim and from Durban originally? If so – it’s Margaret Ferreira here – ex Allanridge, martied to Dries andnow in Bloemfontein.. If you are not the same person – apologies – your story is still interesting! Thank you.
